"The location is amazing, as is the host. The downside is how outdated and under maintained the house is. The site says infers it is recently updated but that’s just a new floor (poor quality) and new countertops. The screen doors on the sliding door are broke, huge cobwebs in the top of the ceiling, the basement screen door is held closed with a rock, the laundry is creepy, etc. The trees are overgrown, and no drapes for privacy in the second property. "Wow, what an AMAZING and absolutely BEAUTIFUL place! I'd give it 10 stars! Immaculately clean, beyond beautiful, so comfortable, the perfect lake, husband loved the fishing, used the kayak and paddleboat, and did all the trails! We knew we want to come back the minute we walked in. There were homemade muffins too and we loved the homemade wine he makes there you can purchase! Such a gorgeous property. "The room was clean, queen bed was comfortable, and WiFi worked well. The small kitchen was well laid out and clean. Host provided snacks and water in the fridge, which was helpful which showed Brittany cares for the comfort of the guests. Next we travel to DuBois we will stay at the historic Notter House. "Everything was neat, clean and well appointed. We had a couple little issues that were quickly taken care of though. The automatic code for entrance didn’t work, so we were delayed in getting into the apartment. The other was that the heat was shared by all tenants and we had no heat most mornings (which was cold for us).. Again the owner rectified it as she was able. Highly recommend this accommodation!"
